Ev and I just returned home from a poetry reading and book signing at the Octagon by the former Poet Laureate Ted Kooser. It was delightful. This was the last day for the exhibit Kooser IMPACT. This beautiful artwork was created by Nebraska artists inspired by the poetry of Kooser and served as a powerful backdrop for his readings.Evan and I have been fans of Mr. Kooser and his work for many years. Ev was so happy to be able to sit before such an incredibly humble man and listen to him tell us his stories.
This was a nice treat to spend Sunday afternoon with my son and Mr. Ted Kooser.
